I think this is actually a genuine phenomenon in the world; singing a song with someone just makes you feel friendly towards them! Unless, of course, they were terrible, I suppose.

15 musicals I love | [title of show]
(via ninarosario)
This wasn’t because of any big thing, but it all added up to be quite nice! Let’s dissect the reasons.
I listened to the Thoroughly Modern Millie cast recording for the first time in a very long time today. Something about Sutton belting her face off and Gavin’s beautiful vibrato makes my life instantly better. Also, every time I listen to “The Speed Test” and it’s the bit about “our soured office planking”, it sounds like Graydon is singing “our soured office wanking”. This makes me laugh. However, it didn’t seem like “wank” would be a word that they would use in 1922 New York. So I looked it up in the OED. It was first used in 1948, so I was right.
I was wearing the Ravenclaw scarf Wai gave me for my birthday, and this made my day automatically better.
My environmental science exam was fairly straightforward, as I mentioned earlier.
My kebab at lunchtime was above average. Yum!
At the movies I was in seat G6, which made me laugh. Also, the movie I saw (The Five-Year Engagement) was very funny. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was the occasional gory moment.
I had a good old forty minute chat with Wai before contemporary, which is definitely a plus.
Contemporary was fun. I rolled my ankle and was briefly worried that I’d done some serious damage, but I now just have a bruise on the edge of my foot. Relief!
I got to the bus right as it pulled in to the stop; I nearly always have to wait for half an hour.
On the bus on the way home, I listened to the [title of show] cast recording for the first time in ages! Much like Thoroughly Modern Millie, [tos] makes everything better. However, I only got to the end of “Secondary Characters”, which meant that…
I had “A Way Back to Then” left to sing in the shower when I got home!
Life is good! (until tomorrow when I will need to start studying for my stats exam)
